Queen of Refuse

This place is brimming in vomit and other forms of nastiness. The washer has been going for days though I am doubtful of its germ warfare capabilities.
Of course I have the dread illness as does everyone else in the house. It really ticks me off because I still have to drag my sorry carcass around the house cleaning up all the ka-ka. It’s like battling the R.O.U.S.es in the Fire Swamp.

Meanwhile, the other adult in the house gets to go back to work in the outer world where he is expected neither to wipe people’s butts nor clean the privy after they are done using it. All this while I am trying to cram in a self-directed study of Early Childhood Education, Phonics, Classical Education & How to Keep the Home Organized While Teaching at Home. There have been moments when I’ve thought that what I’m doing at home as a mother is not important. (Shame on me!) Now that I am finally beginning to catch my stride I challenge anyone to get their regular job done and manage children at the same time. (Unless they are a teacher) I don’t have a personal assistant. I don’t have a bookkeeper or a management team. I don’t even have a team of volunteers. I do have some help with house cleaning and that was a step in the right direction.

Sometimes you just need an epic tale to lift your spirits and remind you that there are worse things out there than copious amounts of puke and potty chairs filled with stinky goo. There’s no shortage of worse things out there as we all know.

So I am finding inspiration from an old classic: The Princess Bride.

Nestled among its clever script are such gems as:

“Life is pain. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.”

“Get some rest. After all, if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.”

“So Bow to her… Bow to the queen of slime, the queen of rubbish, the queen of putrescence…”

Wew! Chick! you have a hell of a life! Missionary kid I Think your thoughts and your feelings are perfectly normal. Good for you for keeping your identity in tack as you grow up with kids in tow and a husband. Notice I did not lable husband as any thing other then husband... the reason for this is because he is your husband not your pastor... YOUR HUSBAND IS SEPARATE THEN THE OUTSIDE WORLD THAT SEE'S HIM AS A PASTOR. He is not your pastor and you are not a pastor's wife... You are his wife and he is only your husband period end of story. Two totally different worlds chick! One the world see's which in my eyes is fantasyland and the other world as I see it is the world of reality in which you are a mother and a wife and a female trying to make sense out of where you fit in this huge world of ours... no more or less then any other human being on earth including your husband... You are his equal... period no arguments...

I thought I would share this with you since I am way older then you are in years but still just a child in my brain... This gets me through the most challenging times in my life so maybe this can help you tooo... to find your way as you go trucking down the path of life.

THERE ARE TIMES IN EVERY LIFE WHEN WE FEEL HURT OR ALONE... BUT KI BELIEVE THAT THESE TIMES WHEN WE FEEL LOST AND ALL AROUND US SEEMS TO BE FALLING APART ARE REALLY BRIDGES OF GROWTH. WE STRUGGLE AND TRY TO RECAPTURE THE SECURITY OF WHAT WAS... BUT ALMOST IN SPITE OF OURSELVES... WE EMERGE ON THE OTHER SIDE WITH A NEW UNDERSTANDING, A NEW AWARENESS, A NEW STRENGTH (NO BS YOU WILL FIND A NEW STRENGTH THAT YOU ALWAYS KNEW YOU HAD BUT COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAP INTO IT BEFORE)

IT IS ALMOST AS THOUGH COLLETTE THAT WE MUST GO THROUGH THE PAIN AND THE STRUGGLE SEARCHING FOR WHO WE ARE AND ARE NOT IN ORDER TO GROW AND REACH NEW HEIGHTS!

Hang in there chick the best is yet to come... I promise you!

Life is a pain but God is good unless you are one of those Mormon kids now stuck in Foster Care that is in the news these days.

Hang in there... Trudi Coveys

BSP - I miss you too!!!! We watched a movie at Ch@ndy's the other night and I felt that your presence was sorely missed, along with your laughter!

BOOOOOOO! Did you guys give us the barf-n-poops?! Well, I think we are finally out of the woods. Then again, living in the woods would make it infinitely easier to clean - shovel some dirt over top and move on to another location!
ha ha

Thanks for the words, guys. :o )
